MATH-A-THON

Booklets will be coming home soon!

Have no fear!  Math-A-Thon is here!  Student Council is once again sponsoring this fun and worthwhile fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH).  Since 1997, our school community has helped raise over $32,000 for this meaningful cause!

·     Math-A-Thon is an educational activity that focuses attention on practicing and improving math skills while raising funds that will be used to support the research and treatment programs of SJCRH.

·     Cancer is the leading disease killer of American children.  This international research facility is dedicated solely to research which helps eliminate catastrophic childhood diseases.  Approximately 4,600 children are seen at the center each year.  SJCRH is non-sectarian, treating children without regard to race, religion, or creed.  The hospital is supported primarily by public contributions through programs such as Math-A-Thon.

·    If you would like your child to participate in the Math-A-Thon fundraiser, please collect all pledges and return the collection envelope to school no later than Friday, March 26.

Please note Student Council's special instructions for Math-A-Thon:

J     You do not need to send the PERMISSION SLIP back to school!  Everyone is getting a Math-A-Thon booklet.  If you would like your child to participate, just have the money back to Hilldale by Friday, 3/26/10.

J     DO NOT send the workbook back to school.  The answers are in the back of the book, so you can self-check!

J     Make all checks payable to:
