Information found on this page often originates with state or local government, such as the, NJ Department of Education, Health Department, Police Department, The Montville Township Drug Awareness Council (DAC), or Montville Township Recreation Department. However, Community Connections may also include information from other organizations that support the community such as The Lakeland Hills YMCA, Pathways for Exceptional Children, Morris County 4-H, the district's many parent organizations, or other community groups.

Girls are now competing in girl divisions across the state. 45 states have sanctioned girls' wrestling (NJ since 2018). In 2026 NCAA will debut wrestling championships. Gracie's Army Foundation Go Gold 5K & Fun Run

Sunday, September 22 (Sign-up by 8/15/24 for Early Bird Pricing): At Montville Township High School. "Go Gold" with Gracie's Army Foundation! September is National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. The Go Gold 5K and Fun Run will have a beautiful and scenic USATF-NJ sanctioned course set up for a 5K, 1 mile Fun Run/Walk, and a 40 yard dash. Come and support this Montville Township community event. The race will start at the Montville Township High School track and go through neighborhoods ultimately finishing back at the track.

Participating in fundraisers like a 5K is a great way to show a childhood cancer hero your support and raise critical funds for research, empower people to give back, and show support for families who need it the most!

Gracie's Army is working with major corporate sponsorships and are projecting at least 500+ runners. The event will feature food trucks, local vendors, and awards given out to cancer survivors and race winners. LEARN MORE HERE. "Be the Light in the Fight Against Pediatric Cancer!"

Mental Health Association of Morris & Sussex and NJ4S

The Mental Health Association [MHA] in Morris and Sussex. MHA coordinates NJ4S - The New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services. The NJ4S motto is: Inspiring Hope and Healing. NJ4S provides education to parents, schools and community members through in-person and virtual presentations and events. Additionally, prevention programming and brief counseling is available to middle school and high school students. All NJ4S services are at no cost.

Pathways helps children of all abilities develop a sense of belonging and give them opportunities to find their own success, value who they are and develop the resiliency to reach their dreams and potential, and discover their passions and encourages them to share their passions with other children.
