Dear Parents/Guardians,
On Thursday evening, September 21, 2023, Montville Township High School will hold its annual Back to School Night. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend. The purpose of Back to School Night is to provide you with the opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, learn about teachers’ expectations and goals, and become more informed about each course your son/daughter is taking. It will also provide us with an opportunity to showcase our school and its facilities, as well as our technological resources.
We will begin with an [optional] informal program at 6:30 p.m. Parents are invited to visit the cafeteria for an introduction to our clubs, activities, and parent support organizations. Parents will have the opportunity to visit tables representing these groups.
The formal program will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium with a brief welcome, after which, you will proceed to your child’s homeroom. There you will be given a copy of your child’s schedule. You will then follow your child’s abbreviated schedule according to the times that appear on the attached sheet. Supervisors and administrators will be available to provide assistance and answer any questions. Additionally, representatives from Student Government, Key Club, and Peers as Leaders (PALs) will be located throughout the building to assist any parents with directions. If, for some reason, you do not receive a copy of your child’s schedule during the homeroom period, please pick up a copy from the main office.
It is our hope that you will be able to attend this important function, which is designed to improve communication between the school and your home, as well as to enhance your child’s academic success. Please note that this function is not a night for individual conferences. Should you desire a teacher conference, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail the teacher at MTHS.
As a result of Back to School Night, all students will be dismissed at 11:55 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023. I look forward to meeting you on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
