Dear Parents/Guardians & Students:
Students in Grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT at MTHS on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. All grade 10 and 11 students will automatically be registered for the PSAT. There is no fee for grade 10 and 11 students.
The PSAT offers students a chance to measure their abilities in critical reading, math and writing. This is considered a practice assessment for the SAT. The results from the PSAT can be a useful tool for all students to further focus their preparations for standardized tests required for the college admissions process. Students will receive test results in mid-December. To be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Program, a student must test in grade 11.
Grade 9 students who are interested in taking the PSAT may register via MySchoolBucks. The last day to sign up is Friday, September 22, 2023. Due to the popularity of this test and the preparation necessary for the test day, late registrations will not be accepted.
