October 2023

Dear Parents/Guardians & Students:

Students in grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT at MTHS on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.  Grade 9 students who registered will also be testing.  Students in grades 9 (who have not registered to test) and 12, will attend their regularly scheduled classes.

Wednesday, October 18 is a full day for all students, as such, regular transportation will be provided. All students are to report to homeroom by 7:25 a.m.  Homeroom teachers will notify students taking the PSAT of their testing locations. Information will also be posted in the rotunda.  All students must arrive to school on time. Students arriving after the test has begun may not be allowed to test.

Please see the schedule and important information on the next page for Wednesday, October 18.

Your help is needed to ensure a successful administration of the testing program for your child. Students should be sure to get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.  They should also be encouraged to make their best effort by performing to the highest level of their abilities.

The College Board has changed the PSAT test this year as it will now be taken online. There is no more paper test. Students who are testing must bring their fully charged school issued chrome books to their testing room along with their chargers. Chrome books will only be available to those students who did not accept the chrome book provided through the district’s 1:1 initiative.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Leslee J. Scheckman                                                    Douglas Sanford
