MTHS congratulates Sofia Matari for receiving the New Jersey Youth Leadership Award issued by the New Jersey Chinese Teachers Association (NJCTA)! Matari, a Mandarin student at MTHS, was one of fifteen students to receive this honor at an award ceremony held on Saturday, December 9 in Edison, New Jersey.
The NJCTA states that Sofia's "outstanding commitment to Chinese cultural activities has not only distinguished you as a leader, but also contributed significantly to fostering cross-cultural empathy and understanding. You have become a spokesperson for your school embodying the values of leadership, commitment and dedication."
