MTHS - The School Counseling Department and the Mental Health Initiative (MHI) hosted two therapy dogs from Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc. during the common lunch period. The dogs, a Standard Poodle named Joni , and a German Shepherd named Granite, were accompanied by their handlers, J'Aime Crowley and Carolyn Armbruster and met with students in the media center classroom and the Lounge. This was a rewarding opportunity for our students, and we look forward to working with the Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc. organization again!

This weekend students will participate in two service projects, an awards dinner, workshops and vote in district elections. Additionally, members of Key Club are entered into a number of contests that will help our chapter and/or individual members gain recognition on a state–or even international level—for their wonderful achievements in service, fundraising, and creativity. A special thank you to our Key Club advisors Ms. Samantha Shalongo and Mrs. Julie Swenson for chaperoning this event and leading the club this year!
