Winter Break begins THIS afternoon! (Dec 20!) Have a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON!
#EnjoyFamilyandFriends! See you in 2025! Classes resume January 2.
MTHS - We wrapped up the week before winter break with our Winter Pep Rally! Teams were introduced, Castle Ball was played, Family Feud was festively fabulous and a great time was had by all!
A huge thank you to the high school administration, SAC advisors - Mrs. Heitmann and Mrs. Reilly, the entire SAC and all the participants.
We hope you all have a fantastic break and we look forward to welcoming you back to MTHS in 2025!
MTHS - Today felt festive in the hallways as students in our music department played holiday tunes during the passing time between classes.
MTHS - Today the staff was able to recognize the outstanding work of our Aramark, Chartwell and maintenance crews. Each year, we host this event as a way to show our appreciation to these departments for their work, dedication and commitment to our staff and students. The work they do every day makes our lives easier and also keeps us safe, healthy, and fed.
A special thank you to Mrs. Meghan Manginelli, Mrs. Helen Gizas and Mr. Ken Nadzak for coordinating this event!
TONIGHT! Tues, Dec. 17. At 7:30PM. #MontvilleBOE at Montville Municipal Building. See the agenda for more info: https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/3526/Montville/5117076/2024-12-17_Public_Session_Agenda_-_.pdf
MTHS - From playing volleyball with the physical education classes, trying out some crafts, cooking , and visiting the woodshop, our elf has been up to some mischief around the high school!
MTHS - Ms. Shalongo and Mrs. Lenox's English class had their annual Macbeth banquet in the media center classroom today.
MTHS - Today we had a lunchtime visit in the library with Bull the therapy dog! This was coordinated through Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs, the MTHS Mental Health Initiative (MHI) and their advisor, Ms. Lomauro. A special thank you to Bull's owner, Janis Hayes!
MTHS - Dr. Kilanowski's AP English students participated in the 2nd Annual G(r)eat Beowulf Art Contest. The students really outdid themselves this year, but two works of art received more votes than the rest; therefore, the winners of this year's contest are Isabelle Mercedes and Cythnia Daili for taking home the Grand Prize! Thank you to all of the teachers who served as judges throughout the day!
MTHS - A special thank you to Tuscany Villa for curing our afternoon slump with some complimentary pizzas for the staff! What a special, unexpected (and popular!) treat!
MTHS - Visual Arts I students have started their printmaking unit. For this reduction print , students transferred an image onto rubber, carved the rubber, printed with paint. Now they will carve more rubber and use another color to create details and layers of color.
MTHS - What a wonderful way to start the week! Our talented band, chorus and orchestra classes gave students and faculty a sampling of their Winter Concert performance - and the elf made his debut with the band! Don't miss the full concert tomorrow, December 10th, from 7pm-9:30pm in the auditorium. Doors open around 6:45, so get there early for a seat!
MTHS - To end the week, our elf found himself at the crossroads of the busiest hallway in the school!
MTHS - The competition was fierce during second period's four court volleyball game in physical education!
Congrats! #MTHS Announces
