MTHS - Members of FBLA and students in Mr. Connolly's IBPF class had the opportunity to hear from two guest speakers today, Ms. Melissa Connolly and Mr. Thomas DiFazio. Ms. Connolly and Mr. DiFazio, both Villanova University graduates (2016), shared their progression from undergraduate students to their current roles in the professional world. The guest speakers answered insightful questions from the students and provided guidance on helpful skill sets needed for business careers.

MTHS - Our Marketing I students are getting more responses from the companies and people they wrote to for their midterm experience. Freshman, Cole Berkman, received a package of promotional material and a letter from Fairlife, and junior, Luke Aiello, received a message and autograph from former Duke Basketball and Team USA Coach Mike Krzyzewski. Our students are definitely reaping the rewards of their professional business writing lesson!

MTHS - Happy Friday and upcoming long weekend! The badminton competition is fierce in our physical education classes this week. Students love the winter season when they get to play pickleball, volleyball, badminton, floor hockey and team handball.
MTHS - Thank you to the New York Yankees! Today, Kyle Chertcoff (9th grade) received a response (and swag!) to a letter he wrote to the Yankees as part of his Marketing I midterm experience. The lesson centered on: understanding the purpose, structuring the letter, using appropriate tone and language, addressing recipients, crafting impactful openings and closings, and the importance of proofreading. The goal was to empower students with the ability to communicate professionally for various purposes, such as job inquiries, applications, information requests, and issue resolution. We are anxiously awaiting additional responses!
