
MTHS - This past semester, our Visual Arts I students have been mentored by their teachers to create fantastic works of art. Featured is a small collection of their latest pieces that highlight their growing skills and talents. Visual Arts I is a full year elective course and we can't wait to see what these students create in the next few months!

MTHS - Congratulations to Montville Township High School’s new a cappella group, Mpulse, who received first place in the ICHSA (International Competition for High School A Cappella) quarterfinals. Our students also won individual awards including Best Choreography (Grace Hricay, Milena Dorta, and Joseph Amoroso), and Best Soloists (Anthony DiBenedetto and Meghana Neelisetty). This a fantastic accomplishment and we are proud of our students and their teacher, Mr. Ted Cherney.

Congratulations to Montville Township Public Schools Teachers of the Year, Educational Services Professionals of the Year, and the Princeton University Distinguished Secondary School Teacher of the year. The 15 outstanding educators were honored by the Montville Township Public Schools Board of Education on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

MTHS - The last day of midterm exams! Students are busy throughout the building taking tests, completing labs in culinary arts, solving mysteries in forensic science and working collaboratively on essay writing.

MTHS - Midterms Day 3! Students in Mr. Queen's physics class studied static and kinetic friction on a wooden block using a Vernier Dual-Range Force Sensor. And, over in Mrs. Einstein's Research in Molecular Biology class, students prepared TEA agarose gels for a lab where they will run the gel on the PCR amplification of the plasmid inserts from bacterial cultures.

MTHS - Students in Ms. Shalongo and Ms. Lenox's English class complete a Macbeth escape room activity as part of their midterm experience.


MTHS - Day 1 of exams is done! Some of our students took traditional exams, while others participated in midterm experiences like a murder mystery and cookie baking challenge/competition. As a reminder, tomorrow's exams are periods 2 and 6.

Reminder: Midterms start tomorrow at MTHS! There will be early dismissal for all MTHS students on Wednesday (1/24), Thursday (1/25), Friday (1/26) and next Monday (1/29).


MTHS - It is a busy common lunch period in the media center today! As we head into midterm exams and the end of the marking period, our students are making the most of their time to study, finish projects and collaborate with peers.





MTHS -Students in Ms. Slezak's forensic science class extract DNA from a banana as part of their DNA Analysis unit. The process students follow is similar to what forensic scientists do when they extract DNA from human cells. Once the cells are extracted, students can view the DNA under a microscope.

MTHS - Mrs. Conroy's Chemistry students work in groups to determine the chemical formula for magnesium oxide. This lab requires students follow specific directions to create the chemical reaction and then take quantitative measurements of the reactions and products.
