MTHS -Students in Ms. Slezak's forensic science class extract DNA from a banana as part of their DNA Analysis unit. The process students follow is similar to what forensic scientists do when they extract DNA from human cells. Once the cells are extracted, students can view the DNA under a microscope.

MTHS - Mrs. Conroy's Chemistry students work in groups to determine the chemical formula for magnesium oxide. This lab requires students follow specific directions to create the chemical reaction and then take quantitative measurements of the reactions and products.
MTHS - Well-rested, warm and cozy in AP English class as Dr. Kilanowski introduces the sonnets of the great Irish poet, playwright and translator, Seamus Heaney. These sonnets are part of the AP Unit devoted to modern poetry.

MTHS - A little friendly competition on a Friday! This week, our Physical Education classes are working on their volleyball and team building skills. Perhaps some of these competitors will join us on the court for the MTHS Key Club Volleyball Marathon on March 8th!
MTHS - In a timely lesson, students in Mr. Rolfe's Advanced Geoscience class completed a percolation lab to learn about water infiltration. The lab required students to analyze the porosity and permeability of sand, soil and gravel.
MTHS - In order to prepare for their bone practical exam, students in Mrs. Hinz's Anatomy class had a little friendly competition. Students had to close their eyes and name the skeletal bone at various stations around the room.

MTHS - The Montville Township High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) hosted the 2024 Northern Region Summit at MTHS. Students attended several workshops and had the opportunity to network with their peers on topics such as: creating business plans, teamwork and technology in business. A special thanks to Mr. Farro (FBLA advisor) and Ms. Clark (NJ FBLA State Advisor).
